It is highly absorbable and gentle on the stomach. The glycine component also has a calming effect on the nervous system.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"text-text-100 mt-2 -mb-1 text-base font-bold\">Magnesium Citrate<\/h3>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\"><strong>Best for:<\/strong> Constipation, general supplementation Good absorption, but can have a laxative effect in higher doses. Useful if you also struggle with constipation during menopause.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"text-text-100 mt-2 -mb-1 text-base font-bold\">Magnesium Malate<\/h3>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\"><strong>Best for:<\/strong> Fatigue and muscle pain Malic acid helps produce energy at the cellular level. It has very poor absorption around 4%. elemental magnesium per day<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">During menopause, many women benefit from <strong>300\u2013400mg of magnesium glycinate<\/strong> taken at night, about 30\u201360 minutes before bed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\"><strong>Important:<\/strong>
